The company moved to its present site in February 1999 and has been operating as a precision engineering company since March of that year.
In November 2003 the company found a partner, Gervase Winn, allowing the workload to be split between production and office. Gervase now has joint ownership of the company with Simon Farr.
In November 2004 the company invested in a state-of-the-art production management system to reflect the company’s dedication to providing quality service, production and traceability. Also in 2004, the company changed its name to Cam Machine Components Ltd to more accurately describe what it does (having been previously known as Cam Machine Consultants).
We have recently increased our CNC Machining shop floor capacity by expanding into a nearby unit, giving us extra room.
The company’s customers range from large international companies in the textile industry to UK firms in oil and gas hydraulic, automotive and agricultural industries. In support of the company’s status in the aforementioned fields, it is a member of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
Co-owner and founder Simon Farr is a highly-qualified engineer with nearly 30 years of experience in the CNC Turning field, 10 of which were served as a works manager. Gervase Winn has over 20 years of experience in technical sales.
